Privacy Policy

Overview

Scramjet ("we", "us", "our") operates scramjet.io, the Scramjet Chrome Extension, and related services. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

The short version: We collect minimal data. Your files are processed locally or on edge servers and never stored. We don't sell your data.

Data We Collect

Website (scramjet.io)

  • Analytics: Anonymous page views, referrer, country (via Cloudflare Analytics). No cookies, no personal identifiers.
  • Account data: If you create an account — email, name, and hashed password. Used only for authentication.
  • Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Chrome Extension (Scramjet Capture)

  • No data collection. The extension does not send any data to our servers.
  • Local processing only. Table extraction and text selection happen entirely in your browser.
  • Local storage. Extracted data is stored in Chrome's local storage (up to 50 items). It never leaves your device unless you explicitly download it.
  • No tracking. No analytics, no telemetry, no usage data is collected by the extension.

Free Converter Tools

  • Browser-side processing. PDF text extraction happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your file is not uploaded to any server.
  • No file storage. We do not store, log, or retain any files you convert.
  • No cookies. Free tools work without any cookies or tracking.

Pipeline Engine (Pro/Business)

  • Pipeline definitions: Stored encrypted in our database to execute your automations.
  • Pipeline output: Stored in R2 (Cloudflare) with configurable retention (7-90 days depending on plan).
  • Secrets: API keys you provide are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage.
  • Logs: Pipeline execution logs are retained for 7 days for debugging.

Data We Don't Collect

  • We don't use third-party tracking cookies
  • We don't sell or share your data with advertisers
  • We don't profile your browsing behavior
  • We don't store your converted files

Infrastructure

All data is processed on Cloudflare's global network. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2 — your data stays within Cloudflare's infrastructure and is never transferred to third-party cloud providers.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard
  • Export your data — pipeline definitions and output are available via API
  • Request data deletion — email [email protected]
